On April 2, 2026 Wolf Jett releases their 3rd album “Letting Go.” They’ve scheduled a California tour supporting the new music beginning March 28 at 8:00 pm at Felton Music Hall! Get tix before the show sells out: feltonmusichall.com

‘Letting Go’ is the fully-realized vision of the band’s four year collaboration with producer Jonathan Kirchner,” frontman Chris Jones said, and features all-original songs that infuse folk, soul, and Americana into what they call “Cosmic Mountain Music.” Co-founded by two life-long friends and musical partners, Wolf Jett combines the southern-fried vocals of Tennessee-born Jones with Jon Payne’s endlessly groovy drums. They are joined by Duncan Shipton on bass, vocalist Allyson Makuch, electric guitarist Rory Cloud, and Alex Benjamin on keys/percussion.

The new album begins on a positive note with the song “In a Good Place Again,” then drifts into “Straight Back Home to You,” a classic road song. Then the journey morphs into a psychedelic gypsy murder ballad called “Nothin’ But Trouble,” and faces a reckoning of the past with “Face the Music.” The mesmerizing title track “Letting Go” features Jason Crosby on keys.

Chris said, “Side two returns with renewed conviction in the certified banger ‘Don’t Give Up on Me Now,’ which includes the viral Instagram guitar solo performed by Benjamin Andrews.” The track “Don’t You Worry” is a hopeful message to the youth, followed by “Be Still,” a meditative moment of peace by singer Laura T Lewis followed by a raw southern homecoming with “Back to Carolina.” A final message of hope is delivered in the soulful “Love in My Heart.” Chris said the striking artwork by Santa Cruz artist Lili Arnold fully encompasses the rich and varied energy of the album in visual form.

“We’re really excited about our third record, the journey and meaning behind the album,” Jon said. “As we all eventually go through in life, the traumas and loss were piling up. Going through the CZU fire, the stress with rebuilding my house, losing my dog, dad, and wife’s grandma over the past few years. It was a lot. But music has always been there for me as a way to deal with it all. I think letting go of the past is a part of the process that helps us move forward. It doesn’t mean forgetting necessarily, but just emotionally being ready to move forward. That’s where I’m at, ready to move into the next chapter and face whatever comes next. Hopefully that involves a lot of peace and tranquility!”
